Netcare Health and Safety Policy
NETcare Europe Ltd recognises and willingly accepts its responsibility as an employer for providing a safe and healthy work place and work environment for all its employees and such other persons as may be affected by its activities. NETcare Europe Ltd seeks to ensure an active health and safety culture throughout its workforce.
NETcare Europe Ltd, strives to meet and adhere to all relevant UK and EC Legislation and codes of practice but the absence of statutory requirements will not be regarded as grounds for failing to achieve a desirable standard.
NETcare Europe Ltd provides competent technical advice on health and safety matters to assist line management in its tasks of ensuring healthy and safe conditions of work. It seeks to ensure that all buildings, plant and equipment meet appropriate health and safety standards. It promotes safety training and encourages a high concern for safety among all employees through management example and through joint consultation and developing information on safe working practices. At the same time, NETcare Europe Ltd requires all employees to show a proper personal concern for their own safety, for that of people around them, and for the safety of the building and equipment, by exercising due care and attention, and observing authorised methods and codes of practice, including those inherent in their professional or craft training.
NETcare Europe Ltd, has adopted a planned approach to the management of health and safety. This involves:
a) assessment of risk
b) identification of protective and preventive measures against those risks.
c) introduction of these measures, including the provision of information, training and protective equipment to employees, and the enforcement of proper working practices by supervisors.
d) monitoring the operation of those measures.
e) review of policies and procedures in the light of information gained through monitoring.
Written records of risk assessment, including details of those groups of employees and others affected, and measures to be taken to prevent or protect against risks, are available for inspection.
Generic Risk Assessments have been carried out and details of control measures are incorporated into safe working practices, detailed in Codes of Practice. Specific risk assessments are carried out for each project.
It is a requirement of the company that this policy statement is understood and acted upon in all levels within the company. Codes of Practice have been developed detailing the procedures by which the company ensures that the policy is implemented.
A Safety Management System has been developed to ensure that all employees know the procedures relevant to the activities they are employed to conduct, and to ensure a proactive approach to the management of health and safety is maintained at all times. The Safety Management System consists of various documents including:
• Generic Risk Assessment Manual
• S.H.E Work instructions
The Management System has been developed to meet the standards of an accrediting body ie ISO 45001. Additional guidance on Netcare Europe Ltd safe systems of work and good practice is available via request.
